To Australia and back: Wisdom APAC 2023

Our odyssey commenced with the familiar dread of a long-haul flight that stretched over 24 hours. The destination: Melbourne, a symbolic leap as Licenseware marked its maiden event sponsorship beyond the EU. This wasn’t just a geographical shift; it was a strategic step and a testament to our commitment to bringing our technology to the world.

The journey’s significance deepened with a personal triumph. A checklist item, conceived over two years ago, materialized in Melbourne. The stand, an emblem of our evolution, showcased our own furniture for the first time! (And yes we flew that giant backlit stand from the UK to Australia with us…)

Jet lag and inflight entertainment became the chorus of our flight, where “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” emerged as our top in-flight companion as we played it for 7 hours straight (we did win eventually).

As ITAM Reviews Wisdom APAC unfolded and we took to the stand and stage with Lansweeper to showcase what can be gained via an integrated approach when generating ITAM insights. Australia’s ITAM community welcomed us with open arms, and it was great to meet our valued partners and customers in the flesh for the first time.

Simon Gadd, broke the ice with his insightful opening session of “Publisher Horizons,” detailing the general trend around vendor audit activity, and potential new methods vendors may look to employ to better the relationships between consumer and software vendor.

After our sessions we took to the floor to network, create new relationships and to provide demonstrations around what value Licenseware’s technology can bring, we even had a quadruple demo at one point ?

We finally got to meet Fulvio, CEO of a great partner of ours TMG (The Mastermind Group) for the first time, and meet Simon Gadd, Partner at Connor Consulting again, however on his home turf this time round.

Needless to say it was a great event! ? Despite facing challenges like a Dubai flood during the return journey, we touched down in London and Valencia safely. Inboxes topped up, we’re back on the grind!

Since we’ve now covered Europe and APAC, it looks like the states or LATAM could be next ?
