New Integration: ManageEngine Endpoint Central is Now Live in LICENSEWARE

We just shipped a new data connector: ManageEngine Endpoint Central. If you’re using Endpoint Central to manage and secure your endpoints, LICENSEWARE can now pull asset and software inventory data directly from it and put it to work for license analysis.
What it does
The Endpoint Central integration connects to ManageEngine’s REST API and brings device and software inventory data into LICENSEWARE automatically. No exports, no CSV uploads, no scripts. You authenticate once, and the sync runs in the background.
The connector collects two main data categories:
| Data Category | Source | What We Pull |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware & Device Inventory | Endpoint Central | Managed devices, OS details, device type, ownership, agent status |
| Software Inventory | Endpoint Central | Installed software per device, versions, install counts, prohibited and managed software flags |
All access is read-only. No changes are made to your Endpoint Central environment.
Why it matters
Endpoint Central already has the data you need for accurate license analysis: what’s installed, on which devices, and how many times. The problem is that data rarely makes it into a license position without manual effort. Someone exports it, formats it, and drops it into a spreadsheet. By then it’s already stale.
With this connector, LICENSEWARE ingests your Endpoint Central inventory continuously and uses it to:
- Build accurate, up-to-date installed software inventories across your entire managed device fleet
- Calculate real license demand based on actual installations, not estimates
- Cross-reference device status so retired or unmanaged endpoints don’t inflate your numbers
- Feed the Software Inventory Manager with structured, reliable data from a source you already maintain
- Surface over-deployment and shelfware automatically, without waiting for a manual review cycle
If Endpoint Central is your source of truth for endpoints, LICENSEWARE is now the layer that turns that data into license intelligence.
What comes next
This connector is part of a broader push to make LICENSEWARE work natively with the tools IT teams already use. Endpoint Central is one of the most widely deployed UEM platforms out there, and connecting it directly removes one of the biggest friction points in the SAM workflow. More integrations are coming.
If you’re already on LICENSEWARE, you can set this up today under Integrations > ManageEngine Endpoint Central. If you’re not, this is a good reason to take a look.
