Software Engineer (Backend)

The role

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help design, build and scale systems that process large volumes of enterprise data. You'll work on robust data pipelines, scalable architectures and core platform services as we grow.

We believe programming languages are just tools; great engineering comes from thinking deeply about systems.

About you

You're a self-starter who thrives with autonomy. You think clearly, communicate directly and cut through complexity to find practical solutions. You're comfortable context-switching across projects and technologies, and you stay curious about how the industry is evolving.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement data models for complex enterprise domains
  • Build reliable data processing pipelines
  • Architect and maintain distributed task queues for asynchronous workloads
  • Develop integrations with third-party enterprise systems
  • Collaborate on API design and system architecture decisions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and database design
  • Experience with distributed task queues and asynchronous processing
  • Strong API design skills and understanding of RESTful principles
  • Strong Python experience, Go is a bonus
  • Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS or Azure)
  • Exposure to AI/LLM integrations

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code
  • CI/CD pipeline design and automation
  • Kubernetes and containerized deployments

Bonus points

  • Prior experience in an ITSM / SAM / ITAM domain
  • AI-driven development workflows and working effectively in an AI-augmented engineering environment

Marketing Specialist

Role overview

Own and execute LICENSEWARE's digital marketing engine, turning product, partnerships and thought leadership into consistent inbound demand, qualified pipeline and brand authority in the Software Asset Management space, with LinkedIn as the primary social channel and YouTube, Instagram and X scaled from zero to meaningful reach.

What you'd own

  • Plan and run digital campaigns across website, email, paid channels and social, with LinkedIn as the core platform
  • Build and scale YouTube, Instagram and X from 0 to hero through consistent content and experimentation
  • Manage and optimize the website and landing pages for conversion and clarity
  • Own SEO and content distribution around SAM, ITAM and software licensing topics
  • Support product launches, partnerships and new apps with targeted campaigns
  • Work closely with sales and partnerships to align with active go-to-market motions
  • Track and report on MQLs, CAC, engagement, conversion and pipeline contribution
  • Continuously test, learn and iterate to improve results

What success looks like

  • A predictable flow of high-quality inbound leads
  • LinkedIn established as a strong demand and authority channel
  • YouTube, Instagram and X showing sustained growth from a standing start
  • Clear attribution between digital activity and revenue
  • Marketing execution that directly supports sales and partnerships
