Cursor pricing

Cursor pricing: plans, seats and usage

As of November 2026, Cursor's paid plans cost $8, $30, $100 or $200 a month, and Teams seats cost $30, $100 or $200 per user a month. Third-party models are not included in any plan and are billed separately at API list price.

Plans

How much does Cursor cost?

Cursor's individual plans are sold as The X Subscription, which bundles Cursor with Grok: each tier includes a weekly pool of AI usage shared across both.

Teams

How much is Cursor for teams?

Teams is priced per seat. Each seat has its own weekly usage pool, and the team shares one prepaid balance for everything beyond it.

Super$100 per user a month3.75x Premium
Ultra$200 per user a month12.5x Premium

The bill

How does Cursor usage and overage work?

The seat price buys a weekly allowance of Cursor's own models. Everything else is additional usage.

Weekly pools

Each paid seat's pool refreshes weekly and covers Cursor models (Grok and Composer). Seats do not share pools, and usage does not move between team members.

Prepaid balance

Additional usage is paid from a prepaid team balance, topped up by an admin or by Auto Top-up, and stops when the balance or the team's monthly limit runs out.

Third-party models

Third-party models are billed at public list API prices from the first request, plus the Cursor Token Rate of $0.25 per million tokens on eligible requests, BYOK included.

Active seats

Cursor bills per active paid seat. Adding a member mid-cycle creates a pro-rated charge; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing period.

Seat tiers

One team can mix tiers, for example three Premium seats and one Super seat, so the per-user price varies inside one team.

Enterprise

Enterprise adds usage pooled across all users, invoicing, SCIM seat management and group-level spend limits.

Where the surprises come from: a team that standardizes on a third-party model pays its API list price plus the token rate on every request, from the first one, outside the seat price. Developers on personal Plus or Premium plans do not appear in the team at all. Source: Cursor Docs, Team Pricing, as of 3 November 2026.

Integration

Why we built a Cursor integration

Cursor's admin tools show the team well. A budget owner needs the team next to every other coding assistant, AI vendor and piece of software.

Why teams choose it

An agent in the editor, cloud agents and automations, AI code reviews with Bugbot, and a team marketplace for internal rules, skills and plugins.

What the vendor's tools show

Admins see team usage in the dashboard and per-member spend through the Admin API.

What they leave out

Everything outside the team: GitHub Copilot seats held by the same developers, Cursor plans bought on personal cards, the model spend on other vendors' keys and the rest of the software estate.

What our connector reads

  • Cursor: seats and usage per user. Read by LCM and SIM.

In SIM

What does Cursor spend look like in SIM?

Software Inventory Manager (SIM) puts Cursor usage per user next to the rest of the software estate, and LICENSEWARE's LCM holds the contract side.

Cost per team

Cursor usage per user from the Cursor connection. Add the users up by team or cost centre and follow the total month by month.

Seats against use

Cursor seats by tier set against usage per user, so an Ultra seat used like a Premium one, or a seat nobody uses, shows before the next cycle.

Beside the estate

AI spend sits in the same inventory as SaaS subscriptions and installed software, so one review covers all three.

The contract side

LCM keeps the agreement, the seat count and the renewal date next to the usage, so a renewal starts from what was used.

More on AI cost management and every connection on data sources. Included in the Core plan, with no separate price.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

PriceHow much does Cursor cost?

As of November 2026, Cursor is free with limited usage, then $8 a month for Plus, $30 for Premium, $100 for Super and $200 for Ultra. Enterprise pricing is custom.

TeamsHow much is Cursor per seat for a team?

Teams seats cost $30 (Premium), $100 (Super) or $200 (Ultra) per user a month, and a team can mix tiers. Free seats cost nothing but carry no team allowance.

LimitsWhat happens when I hit Cursor's usage limit?

On an individual plan you can keep going with top-offs or wait for the weekly allowance to refresh. On Teams, additional usage is paid from the team's prepaid balance, up to the monthly limit an admin sets.

ModelsAre third-party models included in Cursor plans?

No. Third-party models are billed separately at API list price. On Teams, eligible third-party requests also carry the Cursor Token Rate of $0.25 per million tokens.

BillingDoes Cursor charge for unused seats?

Cursor bills per active paid seat. Reducing seats stops the charge at the end of the period, and removing a member frees the seat for someone else.

TrackingHow do I track Cursor seats across a company?

Cursor's dashboard and Admin API cover the team. LICENSEWARE's Cursor connector brings seats and usage per user into SIM, beside GitHub Copilot, the other AI vendors and the rest of the software estate.
